Beginning in 2021 the RV park which is now known as Artesa began as Havasu Hills RV Resort at the Refuge.   The Refuge Golf and Country club was the name of the neighboring golf course and there was a partnership between the two businesses.  Since then a lot has changed with both properties, including; ownership, names, operational practices, and most importantly what is being offered to the guest of both.   Artesa Resort has also gone through some significant changes of it's own.   It was planned to be a community of individually owned lots making up a motor coach resort and being the only motor coach resort in Arizona and along the Colorado River.  The plans changed due to an individual purchaser making an offer to buy the entire property.  Since that offer was accepted the park went back to operating as an upscale RV park and not being only motor coaches.  This leads us to where we are today of inviting you to come experience our spacious sites, beautiful views and relaxed environment.
